Kaycee's Halloween

I am so behind! Anyway, Kaycee also had a great Halloween! She was my little Tinkerbell and she was oh so cute! I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to get her to wear her costume. We never tried it on her because she always said "no." So Halloween morning I finally got it on her. She refused to wear the wings though. Later when we put it on again for trick or treat time, I had Mark try with the wings and she had no problem putting them on for daddy. What is with that girl? The wings have cute little lights in them and it was the cutest thing walking behind her blinking down the dark sidewalk. What a vision! I did not get any good pictures of her, but here they are anyway. Some pictures, she looks like punk rock tink. I thought this was a good opportunity to put some makeup on her and her hair looks a bit crazy. And then for some reason, she kept closing her eyes! Then in another picture she was chewing a kit kat with her mouth wide open! So I am very sad to say, I don't even have a decent picture of my beautiful Tink!

Logan's Halloween

Logan wanted to be a tiger for Halloween this year. He loves that costume! He sometimes wears it now and plays baby tiger. Baby tiger loses his mom, dad, brother and sister tiger when he plays. He gets way too into it! He even cries real tears and I feel so bad for the little tiger! Anyway, the day before Halloween Logan had his school party. I had Grandma E watch Kaycee and I helped out his class. Some of us moms stood out in the woods waiting for the kids to come trick or treat. It was so cold out there at 9 in the morning! The kids were so cute. We each had an animal puppet and we gave them clues until they guessed what animal we had. I had a bear, and as soon as I said "I am a real big animal" they guessed it! ARGHH! We then went inside and did a few crafts. I probably should have taken some pictures of what Logan made. Oops! Logan had fun trick or treating with Kaycee and the two neighbor kids. Although when Logan got chips at one house he said, "hey, this isn't candy!" Too cute! I'm glad he didn't say anything about the house that passed out bottled water! Logan was on a hunt for Skittles and happily found several houses with them. Here are pictures of my adorable baby Tiger!

Bailey's Halloween

I have to post each of the kids Halloween activities and pictures separately because there was alot of activity!

Bailey was not going to go trick or treating this year until three of his friends asked him to go with them. Apparently these three kids are known as the "Three Musketeers" and Bailey is hoping he can convert the group to "The Core Four." One of the fathers of the kids took the boys around the subdivision. During the day of Halloween Bailey only had a half day of school. The students paraded around the school, so the little ones and I went to watch. We also joined the class party for awhile until Kaycee got a little restless. Logan fit right in with the class as always. So Bailey ended up dressing up as a beat up Lions Fan. It was kind of last minute, and in prior years Bailey has gone as a Lions Fan because it's easy and there is not too much dressing up involved. But unless he wanted to be made serious fun of, that was just not going to do this year for reasons everyone is aware of!! (By the way, Bailey was so sure the Lions would FINALLY win yesterday, but nope! The boys still had fun tailgating before AND AFTER the game). We had to deface one of Bailey's jerseys, but that was ok considering all of his Lions jerseys are now no good as the players he had have been traded. So here are some Halloween pictures of Bailey!

Here are some pictures of our finished pumpkins. Mark and Logan's is the jack-o-lantern face, Bailey's is the bat and Kaycee and mine is of course Minnie Mouse!

Logan's school projects

I don't keep very many of the kids projects because there are just way too many. Someone recently gave me the idea of taking pictures of them and saving them that way. I like this because I always feel bad throwing the stuff away. This way I can go back and see what they've done with no space being taken. Here are a few of Logan's recent projects.

Playhouse Disney Live!

Almost 2 weeks ago I took Kaycee and Logan to see Playhouse Disney Live at the Palace. The characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Pooh and Friends, Little Einsteins and Handy Manny were there. My kids don't watch these shows very often, but they really enjoyed it. The show was at noon, so I was a bit leery about taking Kaycee due to her missing her nap. But wow, the two of them were great!! I was so proud of them. They really enjoyed the show and sat nicely and watched the whole thing. It made me feel good to see them happy and so well behaved. Other kids (whose parents probably spent over $100 on souvenir crap for them) were whiny and bratty. It does not pay to spoil your kids!! My camera did not like the dark so much, so this is about the best picture I have. My pictures of the kids didn't turn out so well.

Looking for Pumpkins!

Before Halloween (of course) we went looking for pumpkins at one of our local farms (we have plenty of them very close to us). We got three wonderful pumpkins and carved them a week later. I'll show the results in a later post. I love the picture of Logan with his face showing in the cut-out. It looks fairly real (at least to me)!

Another First for Logan!

Ok, so this occurred in mid September, but I never blogged about it. So.... Logan had his first dentist appointment and did great! I can remember Bailey crying during his. It was a good thing Logan was so brave, because I was having my teeth cleaned at the same time and didn't even get to see him! Bailey was there with him and was very supportive. I was able to run next door to get a quick picture when we were both done. Keep up the great brushing Logan! Logan is all about hygiene! He spends much time in the bathroom brushing his teeth, brushing his hair and even occassionally putting on deoderant! I hate it when my 4 year old smells like Old Spice!
