Big Girl Kaycee!!

Sunday afternoon we decided that it was time (whether I was ready or not) to move Kaycee out of her crib. She is doing so well with potty training, that we want her to be able to use the bathroom at night if she needs too. There have been several instances where she takes her pull-up off and pees in her bed. So the potty is really the only reason. I would keep her in the crib until she's 3 if I could! This is difficult because she is my baby. I decided to use the crib as a daybed instead of using the toddler bed we have. I think the crib looks much cuter and more girly. Only problem being, there is no side railing to prevent her from falling out. So she has been in the "big girl bed" for 2 nights and 1 nap. She has done excellent and hasn't really gotten out (except she must have at one point during nap because she had a couple of books with her). Very early this morning I heard her crying and went up to check on her. She fell out! I have a couple of blankets and pillows on the floor, so I just covered her up and let her sleep there. I'm going to see how the rest of the week goes. If there is too much falling, we will be getting rid of the crib and putting the toddler bed in her room. I can't believe she is getting so big!!

Me, my boys and the Lions!

Last Sunday I got the priviledge of taking my boys to the Lions game. Mark was sick so it was just me and the boys! We had fun (despite the loss, again) and the boys were great. I forgot my camera and I don't think I can get my camera phone pics onto the computer :( They were cute pictures too! I knew I should have turned around to get the camera. Gee, we were only in our seats 45 minutes prior to kick off! So here are some pictures from one of last years games. It was Logan's first game.

Tomorrow Mark is taking Bailey to his first Michigan game. Bailey can't wait to see the Big House. I'm sure I will be unable to convince Mark to take the camera.

1st Day of Preschool!

Logan working hard on his self portrait!

Last Tuesday Logan had his first day of 4 year old preschool. He is very excited to be going back to St. Peters for the second year. I had debated whether to send him. I thought I could save money by keeping him home with me, but then decided if I am home all winter we might all drive each other crazy! So, he is going 2 days a week for 2.5 hours in the morning. He had absolutely no issues with me leaving him there. He never has which is good. I think he'll have a great year!

Ok, Elmo's mouth is opened a bit too wide. I knew I should have told the decorator, I just didn't want to seem picky, although I am when it comes to my cakes!

Kaycee blew out her 2 candles great! Unfortunetly, we ran out of camera tape :(

More cake please!

Kaycee playing with her new dolls after the party!

Kaycee playing with her dollhouse this morning.

Today at 3:15 my baby girl will offically be 2! I can't believe she is that big. I can't believe 2 years ago at this time I was getting ready for the O.R. Boy I am thankful I don't have to go through that again! 3 times is enough! I would love to go back to when she was 2 weeks old! That was the best time. She was such a great baby, and Logan was the cutest, most loving 2 year old! It just goes too fast! We had her party yesterday because my mom leaves for Germany today. Originally she was going to be gone last week already, but changed her flight to be here for Kaycee's birthday. We had an Elmo themed party, because Kaycee is just in love with Elmo right now! Kaycee got a couple of baby dolls, a highchair for her babies, a dollhouse, a teaparty set, lots of clothes, and accessories for her babies. (Can you tell she loves her dolls?) I can't wait til the day we can break out the Barbies! I still have all of my stuff and I've already bought her a bunch. Maybe I'll have to call over my 2 best friends when I was little to help! We spent thousands of hours playing Barbies in my basement. Anyway, happy birthday Kaycee!!

First Day of School

Last Tuesday Bailey had his first day of school. All went well and he is happy to be back at it.

Bailey is playing soccer for AYSO this year which happens to be his sixth year if I am thinking correctly! His team is the Thunder. They had their second game this morning. They won the first and tied today. He is so used to being on the top team, we'll see what this team can do!

I also had my first day of school! I have two classes at O.U. this semester. I haven't taken two classes together in a LONG time. But without working, I think it should be no problem.

Summer Vacation is Over!

I can't believe tomorrow is back to school. We had a great Labor Day (Logan calls it Lavor Day). We had the family over for a final cookout and pool party. I will be sad to send Bailey off to school tomorrow (even if it's only for 3 hours)! He is very excited to be starting 6th grade and claims to not be nervous at all. We'll see!

Metro Beach

The camo tree

This past Friday we went to Metro Beach with Grandma and Grandpa Elsinger. We played on the playground, had a nice picnic, played in the Squirt Zone and spent a little time on the beach. I think Kaycee had the most fun in the squirt zone. We found a very interesting tree by the picnic table. We call it the camo tree.
